    Tuesday 28th February 2005
    JC Mandarin Hotel  Shanghai, PRC

LehmanBrown hosted a UK trade delegation from East Midlands, UK on Tuesday, February 28th, which was organized by the Leicester Shire-China Trade Bureau Business Link Leicestershire in association with UK Trade and Industry. Russell Brown, Managing Partner of LehmanBrown, spoke on “Doing business in China”, covering a wide range of topics from types of legal entities, tax considerations, foreign exchange and risks. He advised that, “Doing business in China is no different than doing business in any other country outside of your own; you need to be familiar with the business environment in order to reduce the risks associated with that particular country. Those who do their homework pass the exam so to speak.”

Over 14 companies delegates attended seminar, companies, particularly the first-time-to-China ones, surely benefited from hearing  local knowledge from LehmanBrown,  whole seminar going smoothly and successful.
